Mother’s Day is a little more than a week away and if you’re a procrastinator (like me), you’re going to need something quick and easy (and cheap, shh) gift ideas! I’ve searched the ends of the internet for fun edible gifts that just about any mom would love. I’ve actually gifted a few of these things myself and they’re all things that I would love to receive myself.
1.Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Honestly, any woman would be excited to get these, am I right? And is it really necessary to pay an arm and a leg to have them shipped? Learn how to make them here but try adding your own twist. You can use colored chocolate, add edible glitter, dip them in fun toppings, and if you’re getting really crazy, dip some other fruits while you’re at it!
Card/Gift tag: “I love you berry much, Mom!”
Card/Gift tag idea: “I/We donut know what we would do without a mom like you!”
3. Coffee Themed Gifts
I know what you’re thinking: this isn’t an edible gift. BUT add a gift card, and voila! An edible gift, or, drinkable, rather. This idea is for those of you who need a last minute gift idea. You know who you are. This coffee chart is super chic and can be printed right after you pay for it. On the way to Mom’s house, stop at Target, grab a Starbucks gift card and a frame, and add a bow. How easy is that?! Pro tip: Include a set of coffee mugs, an espresso machine, or a flavored coffee.
Card/Gift tag idea: “I/we love you a latte, Mom!”
4. Herb Garden
This idea is for the mom that likes to cook. I’ve actually made these myself before and I used chalkboard stickers and a chalkboard marker to label mine. You can find the stickers in the scrap booking or paper crafting sections of your favorite craft store. They’re pretty self explanatory but here is a step by step guide. I stored mine on a beautiful wooden tray that I found at Hobby Lobby which allowed me to easily transfer them all at once to the sink to water them and to use them while cooking.
Card/Gift tag idea: “Thank you for helping me/us grow.”
5. Custom Wine Bottles
You can find these gorgeous printable wine labels (and others) on Etsy! These ones shown are perfect because they come in the 4 pack and you can split them up among all of the moms in your life! Pro tip: add in a set of wine glasses, wine accessories, fancy cheese, or a monthly wine subscription.
Card/Gift tag: “Thanks for putting up with all of my wine-ing over the years.”
